MSPF is an independent photography festival dedicated to supporting and showcasing contemporary street and documentary photography.

Through exhibitions, talks, workshops, and community gatherings, the festival brings together artists and photography enthusiasts to celebrate the power of candid images and the stories found in everyday life.

Our mission is to inspire creativity, connect artists with a diverse audience, and foster learning through valuable exchanges.

For its second edition, MSPF expands its program while continuing to create space for intimate and meaningful experiences.

  • MSPF takes place across several locations in Montreal throughout the festival.

    The festival opens at Foil Gallery, with exhibitions, talks, workshops, and community programming throughout the weekend.

    Weekend 2 — Fujifilm Hub
    September 11–13
    3487 Saint-Laurent

    The second weekend brings the festival to the Fujifilm Hub for exhibitions, activities, printing, and community programming.

  • No. All free MSPF events are open to everyone and do not require registration, including talks, photowalks, workshops, and community meetups.

    Seating will be available at events where applicable. We recommend arriving early if you’d like to secure a seat. Standing room will be available to a reasonable capacity, as long as it does not block entrances, exits, or overcrowd the space.

    The only events requiring registration are:

    • Portfolio Reviews with Zoë Tousignant, Darren Ell, and Benoit Aquin

    • Camille Rose’s workshop on developing your artistic approach in photography

  • The Print Swap is a simple exchange: bring a photograph, leave with someone else’s.

    Thanks to Fujifilm, you’ll be able to print a photograph for free at the Fujifilm Print Station during the Print Swap. You can also bring a print you’ve made yourself.

    We suggest bringing a 5×7 or 4×6 print, with 8×10 as the maximum size.

    Choose a photograph you love, print it on the spot, or bring it along. You never know whose work you’ll go home with.

  • No. MSPF workshops are designed to be accessible to photographers at different levels of experience.

    Come curious and ready to experiment.

  • Not at all. Bring whatever you like — a digital camera, film camera, or your phone.

    Want to try something new? Fujifilm cameras will be available to borrow at every MSPF photowalk. Whether you’re curious about trying a different Fujifilm camera or simply want to experience the walk with something new, we encourage you to take one out and explore.

  • To borrow a camera, please bring:

    • A valid ID

    • A credit card for the security deposit

    • Your own SD card

    And to make pickup quick and easy, fill out the Fujifilm equipment request form in advance.

    For Photowalk Montreal’s Sunday photowalk, participants who want to borrow a Fujifilm camera must pick it up in advance at the Fujifilm Hub, starting at 9AM, before making their way to the photowalk meeting point at Mont-Royal metro station.

    We recommend arriving early enough to pick up your camera and make your way to the meeting point before the walk begins.
