A Love Letter to MSPF’s Hosts and Partners

Montreal is a city of corners—some loud, some quiet, all layered with stories. This year, the Montreal Street Photography Festival (MSPF) comes to life across five unique venues that reflect the spirit of what we do: observe, document, and connect. These spaces aren’t just walls for our work—they are collaborators in our mission, helping us reimagine the gallery experience, and share photography with the world.

Our 2025 Venues

Foil Gallery

FOIL—short for Finer Objects In Life—is a gallery that feels like a sculpture in itself. Designed with extreme architectural precision, this Mile-Ex jewel is nestled in one of Montreal’s most exciting up-and-coming creative hubs. It's a space imagined by people with truly refined taste. For MSPF, Foil Gallery will serve as our official festival headquarters: the site of our opening night, our weekend of talks and activities, and a home for cinematic, conceptual photography that pushes the boundaries of the genre.

Exhibition on view until September 7th.

Galerie Forza

Located on the iconic stretch of Park avenue, Galerie Forza is a Mile End landmark. Tucked inside the walls of the lush, and intimate cocktail bar The Emerald, this venue sets the stage for a striking exhibition of photography enriched by colour, texture, and diasporic narratives—work that carries sun, sound, and spirit in every frame.

Exhibition on view until September 15th.

Café Famé

Evocative of a European-style salon, café Famé is a space that feels like a second home. Located on what’s undeniably the* best street corner of the Mile End — Fairmount/Clark — Famé is warm, music-obsessed, and community-driven. The baristas curate playlists so good — Don’t be shy to ask, "What’s that track?" You won’t need Shazam here. For MSPF, Famé becomes a cozy, intimate gallery where photography blends seamlessly into the café’s creative daily rhythm.

Exhibition on view until September 15th.

Café Léo

Café Léo is a modular café in Montreal’s Latin Quarter that regularly opens its walls to emerging artists. With a minimalist interior and a calm, focused atmosphere, it’s a favorite haunt for creatives looking to work, reflect, and connect. The perfect space for a long editing session. For MSPF, Léo will host a thoughtful, travel-focused exhibition that invites viewers to slow down, grab a coffee, and journey through images that will transport them far beyond the city.

Exhibition on view until September 15th.

Le Ninety

Easily one of the coolest vintage stores in town, Le Ninety is a shrine to ‘90s streetwear done right. The space itself is striking, with a stunning skylight that floods the store with natural light. Among the best-curated collections of clothes, you’ll also find an extensive selection of vintage and digital cameras for sale. Our collaboration with Le Ninety is a perfect match—both of us driven by a deep-rooted passion for street culture and authentic style. Expect an exhibition that captures the energy of a generation, reflecting a culture built on authenticity and rebellion.

Exhibition on view until September 15th.

We picked each of these spaces because they share our values and vision. They care deeply about art and community, and create environments and experiences that welcome connection and creativity. Their impeccable taste reflects ours—thoughtful, authentic, and rooted in culture. More than just venues, they are collaborators who help us bring the festival’s spirit to life.

A Heartfelt Thank You

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our venues, partners, artists, and the vibrant Montreal community.

A special thank you to Camtec Photo for expertly handling all festival prints with precision and care.

To WILLS, Zamalek, and Aupale—thank you for keeping us refreshed on opening night with drinks as thoughtful as the art on the walls.

From the first email to the final frame on the wall, this festival is built with care, collaboration, and a shared belief in the power of photography to connect us all. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning friend, we invite you to discover each space, meet the people behind them, and experience the city through fresh eyes.

See you in September. :)
